Location Assistance through Google Glass

Location Assistance through Google Glass(LAGG) is a location service application for Google Glass, containing an android application and a web interface. This project is oriented towards the ambulance and the emergency service, a proof-of-concept, to investigate the usability of Google Glass in their working environment. LAGG is used for emergency situations, where the injured can quickly come in contact with an emergency operator, just by hitting the button on their mobile device, and automatically send the right location, while the operator continues handling the case.

An android application is used to dial and push location data(coordinates) from the built-in GPS in the mobile device to a server. Those coordinates are later pulled from the server to the web interface by the active emergency operator, who is handling the case. When all information is collected, it gets formatted and crafted into live cards. The cards are later pushed to the glasses, containing necessary but yet simple information along with the road directions.

This project is done in collaboration with Senior Lecturer Eva Mårell-Olsson at Umeå University, Sweden.

LightQuest

An energy consumption awareness application

LightQuest is a concept representation of an energy consumption awareness application for mobile devices, a collaboration with Umeå Energi. The concept is to make the users more aware of their own energy consumption, how their lifestyle and actions reflects the impact, and to further encourage a change in behaviour. All done with real-time data and remote controlling accessibilities to individual electronic devices in a household, all packed in a mobile application with elements of gamification. The application encourage and enlightens the user through various quest, with rewarding feedback and experience gain in the ranking system. Which can be compared to friends and neighbours.

All graphical elements are created in Illustrator, whereby some overlay effects are adjusted in Photoshop, and lastly all interaction possibilities are made through Axure.

Find Your Weather

Location and weather project

Find Your Weather is a web application and mashup with different APIs. In this project I have created a weather application, where you can find different locations and respective weather data, shown on an interactive map (Google Maps). WeatherUnderground API is used to retrieve real-time weather data, Google Maps API is used for the interactive map and pins. Google Places API is also used for the autocomplete feature, to bring an ease and to avoid incorrect input.

Everything is done in Visual Studio with ASP.NET using HTML, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript

Greed

An android game application
